Berkeley – one of the most diverse cities in California.
When one hears the expression ‘The Country of Berkeley” That is not a misnomer. It is perhaps the most wonderful city in the country.
From the University of California, top rated in the nation to the streets of Telegraph where any mode of clothing goes to the wonderful
array of crafts and arts for sale to the coffee shops, the Gap, to all the marvelous shops, I cannot think of anywhere in the world there
is such differences and at the same time sameness.
Berkeley is a microcosm of the United States.
I feel so fortunate to live in this area and enjoy all the Arts, Entertainment,
Theatres, and great restaurants from Chez Panisse to Barney’s hamburgers to Shin-Shin restaurant.
The Lawrence Hall of Science feeds our imagination, the Center for Independent
Living increases our awareness toward others disabilities and achievements.; but has helped people enroll in the University and other colleges since 1961.
Organic Farmers market where delicious foods are available in the center of Berkeley three days a week
you can shop in various locations for organic foods purchased directly from the farmers.
The Ecology center keeps you abreast of details to register your kudos or complaints on national
and international items of your interest
Perhaps you would like to join one of the many community garden projects in Berkeley
for you and your children.
Kensington
Imagine living in
an area that boasts one of the highest IQ's in the East Bay Area
per capita.
Imagine living in
an area that has walks through Tilden Park, quiet
streams, and hidden picnicking areas.
I am speaking of
Kensington, California: Berkeley ZIP code, Contra Costa County
taxes.
This
enclave is unincorporated, but has the finest Kensington Police,
Kensington Fire Department and great informational services. The
Kensington Hilltop School has a fine record for K - 6 grades and
excellent teachers and after school programs.
Kensington also
has the Youth Hut with many programs for pre-schoolers through seniors.
Learn tennis, drop-in and exercise, or go to the fine Kensington
Library. And be sure to join the Kensington Improvement Association.
The
Arlington turnaround has every facility you could wish for: acupuncture,
beauty shoppe, catering, dinner and lluncheon restaurants, florist,
grocer,
video store, optometrist, wine shoppe, ice cream parlor,
hardware store, gasoline station with full services -- and the list
goes on.
At Colusa Circle,
Kensington brings Semireddi's bakery and sandwich shop, Kensington
Pub, dinner restaurants, grocer, shoe shop, cobbler, cleaner, attorney,
financial advisory, accountant, private nursery school, private school
for grades 8 - 12 and much more.
I have lived in
Kensington for many years and love the quiet, the beautiful trees
and the wonderful
neighborhoods.
This is one of my picks for my valued clients. Please allow me to introduce
you to this wonderful area and show you the many selections of homes.
This
is a community in which you will be proud to be a homeowner.
